This 12" 2LP edition is the 2025 Reissue pressed on Palantir Clear Vinyl, released through Rhino / Warner. The soundtrack features 17 compositions performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra with choir and featured vocalists, including some of Howard Shore’s most recognisable work from the film.
The four sides include iconic pieces such as “The Prophecy”, “Concerning Hobbits”, “The Shadow Of The Past”, “The Black Rider”, “A Knife In The Dark”, “The Council Of Elrond (Feat. Aníron)”, “The Bridge Of Khazad Dum”, “Lothlórien” and “May It Be”.
