Following the enormous success of Whispering Jack, the album reinforced Farnham’s position as one of Australia’s most celebrated vocalists, combining polished rock-pop production with powerful anthems and emotional ballads.
This 12" LP 2017 reissue was released through Sony Music and features 10 tracks, including the chart-topping title track “Age Of Reason”, “Two Strong Hearts”, “Listen To The Wind”, “Blow By Blow” and “Beyond The Call”.
The album balances anthemic rock with more reflective material, with Farnham’s powerful vocals at the centre of the production. Age Of Reason remains an important release in his catalogue and a standout example of Australian pop-rock from the late 1980s.
