Description: KISS’ Lick It Up is the band’s 11th studio album, originally released in 1983. It marked a major turning point for KISS, as it was the first album released after the band publicly appeared without their iconic makeup. Musically, the album continued the heavier direction established on Creatures Of The Night, while introducing a more direct and accessible hard-rock sound.
This 12" LP is the 2014 Reissue, released through Mercury / Casablanca. The 10-track album includes the KISS classics “Exciter”, “Lick It Up”, “Young And Wasted”, “All Hell’s Breakin’ Loose”, “A Million To One” and “Fits Like A Glove”.
The title track “Lick It Up” became one of KISS’ signature songs and helped the album achieve commercial success, with Lick It Up becoming the band's first album to receive a Gold certification since Unmasked in 1980.
With its combination of heavy guitar riffs, driving rhythms and larger-than-life KISS attitude, Lick It Up remains an important album in the band's catalogue and a key release from their early-1980s era.
