Description: Motörhead and Girlschool’s St. Valentine’s Day Massacre is a classic 1981 collaborative EP, released under the name Headgirl. The record brought together two of the most ferocious acts of the British heavy-metal scene, pairing Lemmy and Motörhead with Girlschool for three explosive performances.
This 10" Picture Disc is the 2021 Record Store Day 40th Anniversary Reissue, celebrating the original EP's 1981 release. Pressed as a picture disc, this limited edition features the original black-and-red artwork and the three-track programme from the collaboration.
The EP opens with the joint performance of “Please Don't Touch,” Motörhead and Girlschool's raucous take on the Johnny Kidd & The Pirates rock 'n' roll classic. Side One also features “Emergency,” performed by Motörhead & Girlschool, while Side Two closes with Girlschool's energetic cover of Motörhead's “Bomber.”
The collaboration captures the raw energy and camaraderie of the early-1980s British metal scene, with Lemmy's unmistakable vocals and bass combining with Girlschool's hard-edged guitar-driven sound.
