Description: P!NK’s M!ssundaztood is the American singer-songwriter’s second studio album, originally released on 20 November 2001. The album marked a major turning point in P!NK’s career, moving away from the R&B and dance-pop sound of her debut Can’t Take Me Home towards a more personal and rock-influenced style.
This 12" 2LP is the 2018 reissue on black vinyl, released through RCA / Sony Music. The album contains 15 tracks across four sides, including some of P!NK’s most recognisable songs: “Get The Party Started,” “Don’t Let Me Get Me,” “Just Like A Pill,” “Family Portrait,” “Numb” and “My Vietnam.”
Working closely with Linda Perry, P!NK embraced a more authentic and creatively independent direction on M!ssundaztood. The album blends pop-rock with alternative rock, R&B, hip-hop, new wave and other influences, giving the record a much rawer and more personal character than her debut.
“Get The Party Started” became one of P!NK’s signature songs, while “Don’t Let Me Get Me” and “Just Like A Pill” showcased her increasingly confessional songwriting style. “Family Portrait” provides one of the album’s most vulnerable moments, addressing the impact of her parents’ separation and family struggles.
The album also features notable collaborations with Linda Perry, Steven Tyler and Scratch, adding further variety to its sound and production. M!ssundaztood went on to become one of P!NK’s most successful albums, establishing the artistic direction that would define much of her career.
For P!NK fans and vinyl collectors, this 2LP black vinyl reissue is an essential edition of one of the artist’s defining albums and a key release from the early 2000s pop-rock era.
