The album features collaborations with Nate Ruess, Lily Allen and Eminem, adding different musical perspectives throughout the record. “Just Give Me A Reason,” featuring Nate Ruess, became one of P!NK’s signature songs and a major international hit, while “Try” showcases her ability to combine powerful pop production with vulnerable and emotional songwriting.
Produced by a range of collaborators including Greg Kurstin, Max Martin, Shellback, Billy Mann and Butch Walker, The Truth About Love moves between energetic pop-rock anthems, electronic-influenced production and stripped-back emotional moments.
The album became P!NK’s first No. 1 album on the US Billboard 200, while also reaching No. 1 in Australia and several other countries. Its combination of commercially accessible pop and P!NK’s distinctive songwriting helped make it one of the most successful albums of her career.
