Description: Prince’s Purple Reign In New York Vol. 2 captures Prince & The Revolution live during the legendary Purple Rain Tour, recorded at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, New York, on 30 March 1985. The performance captures Prince at the height of his 1980s fame, delivering an electrifying combination of funk, rock, soul and pop.
This 12" LP is the 2016 purple coloured-vinyl pressing, released through Parachute Recording Company. Taken from an FM broadcast of the concert, the release features live performances of “Computer Blue,” “Darling Nikki,” “The Beautiful Ones,” “When Doves Cry,” “I Would Die For U,” “Baby, I’m A Star” and “Purple Rain.”
As the second instalment of the concert recording, this release completes the Syracuse performance alongside Vol. 1, making it an appealing addition for Prince fans and live-music collectors.
