This 12" 2LP edition presents the expanded soundtrack on 2020 blue/green/black marbled vinyl, released through Waxwork Records. The 11-track collection features Carpenter’s instantly recognisable “Main Title,” “Snake’s Theme,” “Battle in the Cathedral,” “The Duke of New York,” “The Eye,” “Escape from New York (End Theme)” and “Final Escape.”
Carpenter’s electronic score became one of the defining elements of Escape From New York, establishing a tense, atmospheric sound that has remained influential across electronic music and film scoring.
