Description: The Who’s Who Are You is the English rock band’s eighth studio album, originally released on 18 August 1978. The album arrived during a pivotal period for The Who, combining their established hard rock sound with more elaborate arrangements and studio production. It also holds a unique place in the band’s history as the final studio album to feature drummer Keith Moon, who died just three weeks after its release.
This 12" 1LP is the 2015 reissue, released through Polydor / MCA. The nine-track album features the enduring title track “Who Are You,” alongside “New Song,” “Had Enough,” “905,” “Sister Disco,” “Music Must Change,” and “Trick Of The Light.”
Produced by The Who with Jon Astley responsible for the remastering of this reissue, Who Are You balances Pete Townshend’s ambitious songwriting with Roger Daltrey’s powerful vocals, John Entwistle’s distinctive bass work and Keith Moon’s unmistakable drumming. The result is a major late-1970s rock album that remains an important part of The Who’s catalogue.
