This 7" vinyl single was released as a Record Store Day 2022 exclusive, featuring “Making A Fire (Mark Ronson Re-Version)” on Side One and “Chasing Birds (Preservation Hall Jazz Band Re-Version)” on Side Two.
The Mark Ronson re-version gives “Making A Fire” a funkier, brass-driven sound, while the Preservation Hall Jazz Band brings a distinctly New Orleans jazz influence to “Chasing Birds”. Both versions offer a very different take on the original Medicine At Midnight recordings.
With its RSD-exclusive status and 7" single format, this is a particularly interesting collector's release for Foo Fighters fans, showcasing the band's willingness to experiment with different musical styles and collaborators.
