The album marked a shift toward the more polished glam-metal sound that would become a defining part of the band's identity, while still retaining the hard-rock attitude of their earlier records.
This 12" LP is the 2022 BMG reissue, featuring the remastered album. The 10-track release includes the huge hits “Smokin’ In The Boys Room” and “Home Sweet Home”, alongside “City Boy Blues,” “Louder Than Hell,” “Keep Your Eye On The Money,” “Tonight (We Need A Lover),” “Use It Or Lose It,” “Save Our Souls,” “Raise Your Hands To Rock” and “Fight For Your Rights.”
Produced by Tom Werman, the album captures Mötley Crüe at an important point in their evolution. “Smokin’ In The Boys Room” gave the band another major hit, while the power ballad “Home Sweet Home” became one of their most enduring songs and an important influence on the power-ballad sound of 1980s rock.
The 2022 reissue features the original 10-track programme across two sides and provides a straightforward way to add one of Mötley Crüe's essential 1980s albums to a collection.
