Description: Shade is an EP by Australian rock band Silverchair. The title track, "Shade," was the fourth single from their debut album Frogstomp. Notably, it was the only single from Silverchair not included in their 2000 compilation album The Best Of Volume 1. The EP also features a live version of "Israel's Son," recorded at the Big Day Out festival in Melbourne.
The EP-exclusive “Madman (Vocal Mix)” offers a rare vocal version of an instrumental hidden track from Frogstomp, providing fans with a fuller glimpse into Silverchair’s early creative explorations. Its punk-infused intensity contrasts the more polished studio material, showing the band’s raw garage origins.
