This 12" 2LP 180g edition is the 2019 Limited Transparent Vinyl Reissue, released through Music On Vinyl / Sony Classical. The collection features Williams conducting performances by the Recording Arts Orchestra of Los Angeles, showcasing music from some of Spielberg’s most acclaimed films.
Across four sides, the album features selections from Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull, Amistad, The BFG, Lincoln, The Adventures Of Tintin, Minority Report, Catch Me If You Can, Raiders Of The Lost Ark, Saving Private Ryan, War Horse, The Terminal, Munich and The Unfinished Journey.
Highlights include “The Adventures Of Mutt”, “Dry Your Tears, Afrika”, “The BFG”, “With Malice Toward None”, “The Duel”, the three-movement Catch Me If You Can “Escapades” suite, “Marion’s Theme”, “Hymn To The Fallen”, “Dartmoor, 1912”, “Viktor’s Tale” and “Prayer For Peace”.
The Transparent Vinyl pressing is limited to 1,500 individually numbered copies, making this an especially appealing edition for John Williams, Steven Spielberg and film-score collectors.
