Description: Tom Holkenborg, also known as Junkie XL, composed the score for Tomb Raider, the 2018 action-adventure film starring Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft. The soundtrack combines electronic textures, orchestral arrangements and intense cinematic themes to capture Lara’s dangerous journey and the film’s large-scale action sequences.
This 12" 2LP is the 2018 Music On Vinyl limited edition, pressed on 180g Clear & Red Mixed coloured vinyl and limited to 1,500 individually numbered copies. Presented in a gatefold sleeve, the release also includes a movie poster, two printed inner sleeves and a PVC protective sleeve.
The 14-track score includes “Return To Croft Manor,” “Seeking Endurance,” “The Devil’s Sea,” “Let Yamatai Have Her,” “Never Give Up,” “Karakuri Wall,” “What Lies Underneath Yamatai,” “Becoming The Tomb Raider,” and “The Croft Legacy.” The full soundtrack runs for approximately 72 minutes, spread across four sides of vinyl.
With its combination of powerful orchestral passages and electronic production, Holkenborg’s score provides an atmospheric and dynamic accompaniment to Lara Croft’s return to the big screen.
