The album also debuted at number-one in Australia, Austria, Canada, Germany, New Zealand, Sweden, and Switzerland. The Truth About Love was announced as Australia's biggest selling album of the year. According to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), it was the seventh global best-selling album of 2012 with sales of 2.6 million copies. As of July 2014, the album has sold 2 million copies in the US, and estimated 7 million copies worldwide, becoming her most successful album since 2001's Missundaztood.
