Description: Silverchair’s Shade is the Australian rock band’s fourth single from their debut album, Frogstomp, originally released in 1995. The track continued the band's early grunge-influenced sound, combining heavy guitar riffs with Daniel Johns’ distinctive vocals.
This 12" 180g EP is the 2022 Limited Edition Black & White Marbled Vinyl pressing, released through Music On Vinyl. Limited to 2,000 individually numbered copies, the three-track release features “Shade,” “Madman (Vocal Mix)” and “Israel’s Son (Live).” The live recording of “Israel’s Son” was captured at the Big Day Out festival in Melbourne.
Part of Music On Vinyl’s Silverchair Collection, Shade was available on vinyl for the first time with this edition. The 180g pressing features a leather-laminate sleeve and an insert highlighting other releases in the collection.
For Silverchair fans and collectors of Australian alternative rock, this limited marbled-vinyl edition is a great piece from the band's early catalogue.
