The Tasmanian Devil, commonly referred to as Taz, is an animated cartoon character featured in the Warner Bros Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of cartoons.Though the character appeared in only five shorts before Warner Bros Cartoons shut down in 1964, marketing and television appearances later propelled the character to new popularity in the 1990s.

Ever seen a Tasmanian Devil play Basketball the 1996 family classic Space Jam gave us exactly that.

Space Jam is a 1996 American live-action/animated sports comedy film directed by Joe Pytka and starring basketball player Michael Jordan. Produced by Warner Bros. Feature Animation as its first (and so far, only financially successful) film, the film presents a fictionalized account of what happened between Jordan's initial retirement from the NBA in 1993 and his 1995 comeback, in which he is enlisted by the Looney Tunes to help them win a basketball match against a group of aliens who intend to enslave them as attractions for their theme park.
