This 12" 1LP is the 2009 reissue released through A&M Records. The 10-track album features the breakthrough single “Roxanne,” alongside “So Lonely,” “Can’t Stand Losing You,” “Next To You,” “Hole In My Life,” and “Masoko Tanga.”
Produced by The Police and recorded with producer Nigel Gray, Outlandos d’Amour captures the band at their rawest, with Sting’s distinctive vocals and bass, Andy Summers’ guitar and Stewart Copeland’s dynamic drumming creating a sound that helped define late-1970s British new wave. From the reggae-infused “So Lonely” to the instantly recognisable “Roxanne,” the album remains a landmark debut.
