Recorded between 2012 and 2013, the album features production from frontman Jared Leto alongside acclaimed producer Steve Lillywhite. The record moves between driving rock, electronic beats, layered vocals and cinematic atmospheres, creating a more experimental direction for the band while retaining their signature ambition and scale.
