Description: Van Halen’s 1984 is the American hard rock band’s sixth studio album, originally released on 9 January 1984. It became one of the band’s biggest commercial successes and features several of their most recognisable songs, including “Jump,” “Panama,” “I’ll Wait,” and “Hot For Teacher.”
This 12" 1LP is the 2015 30th Anniversary Remastered Reissue, released through Warner Bros. Records and pressed on 180g vinyl. The nine-track album was remastered by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering Studios, with the mastering cut directly from the original quarter-inch tapes.
From the instantly recognisable synthesiser opening of “1984” and the massive rock anthem “Jump” to the driving “Panama” and explosive “Hot For Teacher,” the album captures Van Halen at the height of their classic-era lineup featuring David Lee Roth, Eddie Van Halen, Alex Van Halen and Michael Anthony.
1984 was the final Van Halen studio album to feature David Lee Roth until his return for 2012’s A Different Kind of Truth, making this landmark record an important part of the band’s history.
For fans of Van Halen, hard rock, heavy metal and classic 1980s rock, this 180g 1LP remastered edition is an essential addition to any vinyl collection.
